Who Murdered Nida Blanca?

On November 6, 2001, Nida Blanca was found stabbed to death in the parking lot of Atlanta Center in Greenhills, San Juan.

13 days later, Philip Medel confessed to the murder. He implicated Rod Strunk, Nida Blanca's husband as mastermind. A few days later, he claimed that the police tortured him and recanted his statement. Rod Strunk left for the States to visit his ailing mother and never came back.


The extradition case filed against Rod Strunk was junked by an American judge given the weak evidence by the prosecution.

In April 2010, Philip Medel succumbed to pneumonia in an intriguingly well-ventilated jail.

In July 2007, Rod Strunk fell from a two-storey inn in Tracy, California. Police believed it was suicide.

Still the question remains. Who killed Nida Blanca? Will this be another unsolved case?
